ZZKNOWN, as a professional food truck trailer manufacturer in China, has earned the trust of numerous customers worldwide. When customers are ready to order a food truck trailer from ZZKNOWN, they are often concerned about how to safely transport such a large product to its destination. Due to the large size of the food truck trailer, sea freight is generally the preferred method of transportation. Our factory is conveniently located near Qingdao Port in China, which greatly facilitates sea shipping.

Fast food truck transportation process

We have a comprehensive process in place to ensure the food truck trailer is delivered smoothly to the customer.
  • First, when we receive the customer’s final 50% payment, the order is submitted to our shipping department, which typically takes one day.
  • Next, the shipping department contacts the shipping agent to book a slot, and the shipping company usually takes 3-5 days to confirm the booking, though this may vary.
  • Once the slot is confirmed, we arrange for container booking and loading, a process that generally takes 2-3 days.
  • After loading, the goods are transported to the port, where customs inspection and clearance procedures begin, taking approximately 2-3 days.
  • Once customs clearance is granted, the goods are loaded onto the ship, followed by a waiting period of about 2-3 days for the ship to depart.
  • Typically, the transit time from port to destination is around 30-40 days.

Packaging for safety

Regarding the safety of the food truck trailer during shipment, we have implemented several measures to ensure the product remains intact. First, we weld a steel frame to the bottom of the food truck trailer to protect the chassis from damage during forklift loading and unloading. Additionally, the entire exterior of the trailer is wrapped in plastic film and sponge to prevent scratches during transit. We also fully assemble and test the food truck trailer before it leaves the factory to ensure all equipment is properly installed and functioning.

However, to ensure safety during transport, certain delicate or hanging equipment, such as chandeliers and air conditioners, are dismantled and reinstalled by the customer upon receipt. To better accommodate container transport, we disassemble the axle, tow bar, and light board and place them inside the food truck trailer. To facilitate customer assembly, we pre-drill all necessary installation holes, so customers only need to install screws to complete the assembly. For unfamiliar assembly steps, we provide detailed video tutorials to help customers successfully complete the setup.

Customs and registration

Customers are also concerned about whether ZZKNOWN's food truck trailers can pass customs and registration. To ensure smooth customs clearance, we provide the necessary documentation, including the vehicle's DOT, VIN code, and certificate of origin. Since customs and registration requirements vary by region, customers can use these documents to contact local authorities to ensure successful clearance and registration.

Some customers have asked if they can assemble the food truck trailer at the port and then take it home. We generally do not recommend this, as we use welded iron frames for internal packaging to ensure transport safety, which requires professional tools and workers for disassembly and reassembly. Therefore, assembling the food truck trailer directly at the port and taking it home may not be the best option.

When the customer's food truck trailer arrives at the destination port, they need to complete the following steps:
  • First, pay the destination port fees;
  • Second, pay the customs duties;
  • Third, complete the customs clearance procedures;
  • Finally, pick up the goods. If the customer has relevant experience.
They can handle these matters themselves; if not, we recommend hiring a customs broker to assist with the process.

In summary, ZZKNOWN is committed to providing high-quality food truck trailers and one-stop service to customers, ensuring they can receive their products easily and safely, from production to delivery.
